  • What leasing options are available?

    We offer 6–15 month lease options.
  • How much of the security deposit is refundable?

    Any deposit held is applied to outstanding charges at move-out if not paid. Security Deposit Alternative is non-refundable.
  • Can I apply online?

    Yes, our application process is done online at plantationflatsapartments.com.
  • Can the apartment be listed on AirBnB?

    AirBnB rentals are not permitted.
  • What are your application requirements?

    We check 2 years rental history, 1 year employment, verify minimum 2.75× rent as income, review credit history, and conduct a criminal background check.

  • How much is the security deposit?

    $500–$1,500; ask about our Security Deposit Alternatives Program.
  • Is there an application fee?

    Yes, $50 per person 18+ years of age.
  • How can I pay my rent? What forms of payment are acceptable?

    Payments are via Resident Portal using check, debit, credit card, or MoneyGram.
  • Are the apartments furnished? What is included?

    We do not offer furnished apartments.
  • Are there qualifications - income, credit history checks, criminal history, rental history, etc.?

  • Do I have to pay first & last month's rent?

    First month yes; last month is not collected at move-in.
  • When is rent due?

    Per the lease agreement, rent is due on the first of each month.
  • What fees/deposits are due upon applying? Moving in?

    Application fees, administrative fees, rent, and pet fees if applicable.
  • Is there a late fee for overdue payments? Is there a grace period?

    Late fees apply on the 6th; 5-day grace period is given.
  • Is renter's insurance required?

    Yes, minimum liability coverage of $100,000 required.
  • Are utilities included?

    No utilities are included with rent.
  • What utilities are not included in the rent?

    Residents pay water/sewer, trash, valet trash, pest control, and insurance.
  • What costs are not included in the rent?

    Utilities, cable, etc.
  • What is the average cost for utilities each month?

    Utility costs depend on usage and number of residents.
  • Are there any bed restrictions for the apartments?

    Waterbeds are not allowed.
  • Do you have items I can rent?

    No rentable items at this time.
  • Are corporate rentals available?

    Not offered at this time.
  • Under what circumstance can a landlord terminate your lease?

    A lease can be terminated for violating the contract.
  • What happens if I need to move out before my lease expires?

    Early lease termination allowed with 60-day notice and payment of an Early Lease Termination Fee.
  • Are there any fees associated with moving in or moving out?

    Cleaning fees, damages, and lease break fees if applicable.
  • How often is there a rent increase?

    Rates reviewed prior to lease expiration.
  • Can the apartment be sublet?

    Subletting is not permitted.
